Alix monitors distressed situations across the industry, reports on case developments, prepares long-form analysis of legal developments with a special focus on Puerto Rico and serves as an editor for Americas Core Credit. Prior to joining Reorg, Alix was an associate attorney at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, where she practiced corporate restructuring and insolvency law. Aliya is responsible for the accuracy, clarity and editorial style of all Americas Core Credit content. Prior to joining Reorg, Aliya was a lead editor at Brightwire, where she edited, assigned and reported business, financial, geopolitical and cybersecurity copy. She has an M.F.A. in fiction writing from Columbia University and a B.A. in English and creative writing from Colby College.

Ana Lucía covers in-court and out-of-court restructurings and distressed situations for Americas Core Credit. Prior to joining Reorg, Ana Lucía clerked for Judge Robert D. Erwin screens and translates news and reports from regional financial publications and manages the calendar of announcements from companies in Latin America and the Caribbean for Americas Core Credit. Prior to joining Reorg, Erwin wrote for OilPrice.com and Southern Pulse Info. He has a B.S. in political science with a certificate in Latin American studies from Florida International University.

Harvard covers distressed debt and corporate restructuring for Americas Core Credit. Prior to joining Reorg, Harvard was a reporter at Bloomberg News, where he covered company debt across the ratings scale on the corporate finance team. Hugh Minch is a deputy editor at Reorg, and has been writing about the CLO and broader leveraged finance markets since 2017. Prior to joining Reorg he was deputy editor at Creditflux.

Jacob is a high-yield credit analyst specializing in the food and REIT sectors for the Americas Performing Credit team. Prior to this role, Jacob was part of the Data and Credit Analyst team at Reorg, where he covered new primary bond issues and a wide range of U.S. high-yield companies. Before joining Reorg, Jacob worked at S&P Global as a business analyst for its credit-related platform and Excel-based products. Jacob attended Elon University where he majored in finance and international business, and minored in Asian studies (with a focus on the Chinese language).

Jared helps cover stressed and distressed situations for Americas Core Credit. Prior to joining Reorg, Jared was Managing Director, Corporate Credit at Balbec Capital LP and Director of Research at ASM Capital. Jason coordinates and supervises all aspects of the editorial output for Americas Core Credit. Prior to joining Reorg, Jason was an associate in the restructuring, insolvency and workouts group at Latham & Watkins, where he represented debtors, creditors and equityholders across a range of restructuring scenarios. He has a J.D. from New York University and a B.A. in economics and international relations from Tufts University.

Johanna provides legal analysis of bankruptcy filing data for cases with $10 million in liabilities or more for First Day. Prior to joining Reorg Johanna was a data analyst at The Environmental Finance Center at the University of North Carolina. She has a B.S. in environmental science from the University of North Carolina.

John covers Puerto Rico's debt crisis for Americas Core Credit, and his coverage has earned him awards from the Specialized Information Publishers Association and the Puerto Rico Overseas Press Club. Prior to joining Reorg, John was editor of the San Juan Star. He has a B.A. in English literature and anthropology from Rutgers University and an M.F.A. in writing from Brooklyn College.

Justin is a High-Yield Credit Analyst, specializing in the retail and consumer products sectors. Prior to this role, Justin was a part of the Data and Credit Analyst team at Reorg, where he covered a broad range of U.S. high yield companies and primarily focused his analysis on new bond issuances in the U.S. high yield primary market. Before his time at Reorg, Justin studied at Seton Hall University where he graduated with a dual major in Finance and I.T. Management. Justin is a CFA level 3 candidate and plans on taking the third and final exam in the curriculum in February 2024. Prior to joining Reorg, Mengdi worked as a investment associate at Fair Oaks Capital, a CLO with focus on European high-yield market. Michael joined Reorg in 2023 as a Senior High Yield Credit Analyst with 15 years of credit analyst experience at sellside firms (Seaport Global and CRT Capital Group) and 10 years at buyside funds (Moab Capital, and Southpaw Asset Management). At Reorg, Michael is focusing on HY credits in several Industrial sectors including chemicals, building products, mining, autos, and airlines. Michael Haley is the senior primary market reporter at Reorg where he covers high-yield bonds, leveraged loans and the leveraged finance market. Prior to joining Reorg, Patrick clerked for two U.S. bankruptcy judges, Judge John E. Waites (DSC) and Judge Arthur J. Gonzalez (Southern District of New York). Paola covers private credit out of the New York office. She focuses on deals. Prior to joining Reorg in April 2024, she covered middle market loans at LPC, part of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), and Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) at GlobalCapital. She started her career in Italy at a daily newspaper. Paola holds an M.A. in Journalism from Columbia Journalism School and a B.A. in Modern Literature from D’Annunzio University in Italy.

Rob manages the Data & Credit Analyst team, covering new primary bond issues in the U.S. high-yield market and a range of data-related initiatives.
